The Team

Welcome to A&B Financial Planning, where our dedicated team is committed to providing exceptional customer service and a wide range of financial planning services. Our team consists of Owner and Principal Financial Adviser Ian Reid, Owner and Financial Adviser Dee Goesch and their team of professionals.

As a regional business, we offer a comprehensive suite of services including financial planning, superannuation, investment strategies, retirement & estate planning, as well as commercial lending, asset purchasing, aged care and mortgage broking. We are deeply rooted in our local community and prioritise the needs of families and small businesses. Our mission is to help our clients achieve long-term financial success by delivering innovative client service and quality financial advice.

With our team of 7 professionals, including 2 fully qualified financial advisers with over 30 years of combined experience in the financial industry, we bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our clients. Our staff being local allows us to truly understand our clients’ unique situations and goals. And we take pride in building personal relationships with each client ensuring we can provide a tailored service.

Ian

Director / Principal Financial Adviser

Ian has spent over 40 years in business management including farm machinery, automotive industry, accounting, and now financial planning services.

Since joining the financial planning industry, Ian has attained a Diploma of Financial Planning, Self-Managed Super Fund and Securities (Shares) accreditation along with studies in Estate Planning and is a member of the Tax Practitioners Board and Financial Advice Association of Australia (FAAA).

Ian is dedicated to assisting clients get the right balance of personal insurance, superannuation and investments for their personal needs.

Away from work Ian has been a member of the Temora Lions Club for over 30 years as well as being a board member of the Temora & District Education Fund (TDEF). Ian and his wife Glenys enjoy their seven grandchildren scattered between Temora, Canberra and Newcastle.

Dee

Dee

Director / Financial Adviser

Dee began her professional journey at CBA in 2009. She joined A&B Financial Planning in 2012 as the receptionist. She dedicated herself to her work and achieved the remarkable feat of being a paraplanner, then Adviser and completing two university degrees in Financial Planning and raising teenagers. Today, Dee is not only a successful business owner but also a skilled communicator who takes pleasure in connecting with new individuals and using her experience to improve the financial position of her clients.

As a graphic designer, she has a keen interest in graphic presentation, a key feature in her pre-retirement planning for clients. Dee is passionate about improving the financial literacy of our younger generations, presenting financial life skills to students at our local high schools. Dee’s clients appreciate her ability to explain complex matters in simple terms.

Dee and her husband Paul are looking forward to more travel adventures in their caravan whenever time permits. In addition, Dee finds joy in various forms of art & tackling hands on projects, spending time with family, fishing and enjoying the rural lifestyle of their farm. More recently Dee is enjoying a newfound passion for furniture restoration. If you visit the Temora offices, you might even see some of her pieces.

Dee is a Senior Associate of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (FINSIA).

Client Services Officer and Paraplanner

Georgie is committed to completing her professional year to become a financial adviser. Formally a resident of Temora and farmers wife, agriculture continues to hold a place in her heart. Her unique experience allows me to understand the challenges faced by both rural and metro families.

Outside of work and family life, Georgie enjoys staying active with Lagree, often described as “Pilates on steroids.” She looks forward to supporting you and helping you achieve your financial goals.

Client Service / Paraplanning / Lending Assistant

Ben joined A&B Financial Planning in 2022. Ben has 20 years of experience in business management, mainly in the club and hospitality industry. He grew up in Gundagai and moved to Temora with his family in 2017, going ‘back to his roots’, as his father is from the Temora region. Ben is excited to embrace the challenges of a career change and looks forward to assisting the advisers to help clients achieve their goals. 

Ben enjoys spending time with his family and enjoys a bit of golf. Ben is also now taking the lead on our mortgage broking arm of the business.

Kira brings invaluable experience and dedication to our team, having been an essential member for several years. After a fulfilling period of maternity leave, she returns with a renewed sense of purpose, having cherished precious moments with her growing family. 

Kira has excelled as a paraplanner and office manager, her transition to our client services team reflects her commitment to enhancing our client experiences. Her blend of professionalism and warmth enriches our team dynamic, ensuring unparalleled service to our valued clients.

Reception

Welcoming you with a friendly smile at Reception, Toni has seamlessly integrated into our team. Beyond her role as the first point of contact, Toni's expertise extends to completing a significant part of our compliance tasks and serving as our meticulous chief proofreader, wielding her 'red' pen. Self-dubbed the manager of everything, Toni tackles any challenge thrown her way. Hailing from Ariah Park, Toni's rural roots run deep. She finds immense pride in her family life, married to Mark and raising four children who excel in various pursuits, including AFL football, basketball, netball, swimming, and athletics. 

Outside the office, Toni is often found travelling or on the sidelines supporting her children's endeavours. In rare moments to herself, Toni enjoys reading, spending quality time with family and friends, tackling jigsaw puzzles, swimming, and enjoying summer, accompanied by good food and wine.

Office Manager

Mel started with us in February 2023 to take over the Office Managers role while Kira was on Maternity leave, (she was that awesome we decided to keep her).  Mel is married to a local farmer; Scott, and they have 4 children. After working for herself for the previous 12 years, Mel is enjoying the office and team environment. Currently Mel fills her time with following kids around, helping on the farm, spending time with friends while enjoying good food & wine, caravanning & travelling overseas.
