Takeaway Tuesday

Each month our team enjoys Takeaway Tuesday, where lunch is provided by the firm from one of our fantastic local eateries.

Staff are encouraged to donate the amount they would have spent on lunch and at the end of the year, A&B Financial Planning matches the total raised.
The combined donation is then shared among local charities at Christmas — supporting those who need it most.

To help raise awareness and spark important conversations our team also wears TradeMutt shirts on Takeaway Tuesdays. These bright, conversation-starting shirts are designed to encourage open discussion around mental health — something we care deeply about and believe should never be a taboo topic.

These simple initiatives are something that any workplace can adopt to make a real difference in their community.

R U OK? is a national suicide prevention charity and registered public health promotion that encourages people to stay connected and have conversations that can help others through difficult times.

Our work focuses on building the motivation, confidence and skills of the help-giver – the person who can have a meaningful conversation with someone who is struggling with life.

R U OK? contributes to suicide prevention efforts by encouraging people to invest more time in their personal relationships and building the capacity of informal support networks – friends, family and colleagues - to be alert to those around them, have a conversation if they identify signs of distress or difficulty and connect someone to appropriate support, long before they're in crisis.
